This course explores the ongoing cycle of identifying hazards, assessing risk, controlling hazards, and evaluating controls. It covers key concepts, process steps and methods for hazard identification, risk assessment, and hazard control. Approximately three (3) hours.

This training seeks to improve employee, manager, and supervisor knowledge on hazardous materials typically found in Parks Canada workplaces. It includes materials such as lead, silica, asbestos, and several others, and instructs on what they are, where they are found, what are the related health and environmental risks, and even covers certain aspects of management and related laws and regulations. The training is mandatory for any employee/manager/supervisor that may come in contact with hazardous materials in the course of their work. Each person will have to retake the training every three (3) years to maintain their knowledge on hazardous materials.

This preparation course is meant prepare you for the in-person portion of the Historic Weapons Supervisor Course. It is fully online and is a prerequisite for the in-person Historic Weapons Supervisor course. Make sure you complete it at least two weeks ahead of the in-person course. Please note that this course is primarily for people who are currently historic weapons supervisors and those who may become or act as one in the next two years. This course involves additional reading.

This training has been developed to provide all Parks Canada employees with better understanding of the pay administration processes established by the Agency.

I-100 Introduction to Incident Command System

Upon successful completion of this training module and graded exam, you will understand the purpose and importance of the Instrument and the exercise of delegated HR authorities at Parks Canada. You will have gain the ability to navigate the Instrument, having practised with real-life scenarios.

Interpretation at PC, POETRY, coaching and feedback Virtual option has shorter sessions, spread on 4 days instead of 3 This training provides tools and materials for VE teams looking to enhance interpretation at their site. This training is not mandatory, but provides a solid foundation and additional resources for interpretation. It is strongly suggested that interpreter team supervisors complete the training before training their staff.

The Introduction to Collaboration training introduces participants to formal collaboration at Parks Canada. During the training, participants will become familiar with the considerations, obligations and procedures to follow when collaborating with external parties on behalf of Parks Canada.
