Description

The Plan Member Education Session is a 2.5-3 hour session, presented by The Government of Canada Pension Centre. Participants are invited to ask questions, which allows us to offer an interactive session that meets their needs.

Each session includes an overview of the following topics, as applicable:

• Pension and benefits website

• Pension plan contributions

• Benefit calculations

• Benefit options

• Deductions

• Indexing

• Supplementary Death Benefit (SDB)

• Survivor benefits

• Leave without pay

• Service buyback

The session also provides information on the following group insurance plans, where applicable:

• Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP)

• Pensioners’ Dental Services Plan (PDSP)

Target audience: Plan members enrolled in the pension plan. We recommend attending this session at three key points in their career: early on, mid-career, and before retirement.

The participants will receive a PowerPoint copy of the presentation.
