Step 3: Research & Due Diligence
The Step 3 training module will teach participants to conduct thorough research on external parties to assess compatibility, identify risks and mitigation measures, and consider requirements for fair selection of a collaborator. Participants will also become familiar with due diligence and mandatory tools, learn how to anticipate and evaluate potential visual recognition, identify the delegated authority and seek approval to initiate negotiations. Step 4: Approach & Negotiate
The Step 4 training module is meant to enable participants to feel confident in approaching and negotiating with a third party. During this training, participants will become familiar with recognition and visibility benefits, the Index of Resources and Functional Experts for Collaboration, instruments used for formal collaborations and tools to help identify delegated authorities (Annex C of the Directive, Financial Delegation Matrix). Steps 1 & 2: Strategic Priorities & Planning
The Steps 1 & 2 training module focuses on Strategic Priorities and Planning. During this training, participants will familiarize themselves with the Guidelines for Collaboration and Planning and Evaluation Tool. While using the tool, participants will be guided through the applicable processes and procedures to consider capacity and define needs, and ensure collaborations are strategic and align with Agency and business unit priorities and operational requirements. Steps 5 and 6: Implement and Evaluate
The Steps 5 and 6 training module is meant to enable participants to understand the reasons behind monitoring all aspects of the relationship in a collaboration. They will become familiar with the fact sheets to help them manage this relationship. While using the tool, participants will be guided through the applicable processes and procedures with the evaluation principles of the Planning and Evaluation Tool to help them decide whether a collaboration should be renewed or terminated. The Big Picture for Impact Assessment Practitioners
The purpose of this training module is to provide a big picture overview of Parks Canada’s IA process for Parks Canada’s internal projects within the context of the Project Management framework. Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG): An Overview
This updated course provides an overview of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Act and Regulations for managers, employees, and others who need to know about TDG but are not responsible for TDG activities. It includes information about your responsibilities for the transport of dangerous goods, especially for training and certification of company personnel. It will also help you understand the purpose of the TDG Act and Regulations, as well as terms, concepts, requirements for compliance and consequences for noncompliance. Approximately two (2) hours.
